Philanthropy is a powerful force within the health and medical research ecosystem, but funding biomedical research can have a steep learning curve. How do you learn where to begin? Who should you work with to implement your philanthropic goals? And how can you tell if your investments are achieving their intended impact when medical research doesn’t have immediate payoffs? Philanthropy is uniquely positioned to play the long game, but this can make it difficult to know when you’re on the right track or if you should course correct. This session will focus on peer-to-peer learning between private funders and sharing of lessons learned from those at various stages of their giving journeys.
