From critical transportation networks to renewable energy grids, African economies face an infrastructure financing gap exceeding $170 billion annually. Infrastructure investment needs and opportunities will continue to expand, as Africa navigates the energy transition, positions itself in new supply chains, and strives to cater to the world's fastest-growing, youngest population. Traditional funding models have proven insufficient to bridge this financing gap, while sovereign borrowing options have narrowed considerably. Yet innovative partnership frameworks blending public, private, and multilateral resources have recently demonstrated remarkable success in delivering transformative projects that individual nations could not finance alone.
