Navigating Disaster's Emotional Impact: Tools for Healing and Strength

-

The journey to healing is not about simply “moving on”—it’s about learning how to move through with resilience, self-compassion, and support. This session will share practical tools for navigating the emotional and physical impact of loss and trauma, drawing from the experience of rebuilding after losing a home in a wildfire. Through guided breathwork, nervous system regulation techniques, movement, and the powerful role of essential oils in emotional balance, participants will gain accessible, science-backed strategies for restoring a sense of stability and strength. Together, we will explore how to honor our emotions, create rituals for healing, and build resilience—one step, one breath at a time. Designed as a resource for people navigating personal and collective trauma, this talk offers actionable practices that foster healing and renewal. Just as nature regenerates after devastation, so too can we.
