-

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have long been considered energy exporters to their Asian neighbors in the east. Now this relationship has evolved way beyond oil and gas. in 2021 alone, UAE injected more than US$32 billion worth of investment into Indonesia, including vaccine manufacturing and distribution. Other major Asia economies such as China and India are building new relationships with the GCC countries on manufacturing and supply chains, retail and consumer goods, innovation around renewable energy, and digital infrastructure. Where does the new growth lie between West Asia and East Asia? What are the opportunities and pitfalls for investors from the region and globally?
